Easter came and went, and we are slowly, but surely, getting deeper into kid-oriented festivities. Due to inclement weather (and the fact that we forgot to bring a coat to Afton's grandparent's house where we had Easter dinner), Afton had her first Easter egg hunt in the great indoors. Not too long after her nap, no less, which explains her lovely 'do.

Yes, Afton figured out early on that there was candy inside the plastic eggs , so there were occasional pauses to test the ware.
But mostly she kept on moving, finding eggs in all sorts of places.

I didn't realize how many eggs/candy that would be for one kid until she had finished the haul.

But she was happy. All in all, a successful hunt.

How cute! I'll bet it is fun that she is at the age now when she is understanding more of the eater-egg tradition. I'm impressed with all the eggs she found!
She's getting cuter by the day. Can't wait to see/meet the new little one.
She is so adorable. Maybe we should organize a treasure hunt when you guys come in May!
I can't wait to see her in a few weeks!! It will be so fun to squish her! I'm sure the feeling is mutual...or probably not.
Heather, Afton is adorable! You do such a cute blog!
It will be so much more fun when she can share the event with a sibling!
I hated the candy in the egg part because there was always so much candy in the end. So my kids usually got one piece of candy in each egg. Good thing they don't know how they were tricked. :)
