As a minor preface to this first picture, it should be known: (1) When Tony was a child, he didn't like jumping on trampolines because he "just knew they were dangerous"; and (2) Before I got to the family reunion last week, I had forgotten that the campground had a GI-NORMOUS slip-n-slide. Afton, aka "no fear," insisted on going down it over and over and over again.
However, the trip ended the way all of our trips to Oregon this past year have ended: Afton got sick.
The downside: a sick child, insurance mumbo jumbo for being out of network, kooky rural health care clinics, an 8+ hour car ride to get home. The upside: it's the only time that Afton is snuggly.
On a different note, we got to see Afton's newest relative, my cousin Sara's son, Ryan. He is little and sweet and smooshy and cuddly and all the things a little baby ought to be.

And maybe the only time that she wants me over her grandpa!!! Still loved the moment she felt her neck and said "hot"...than blew on her hand to cool herself down. What a sweety!
I's so sorry she got sick, but like all of the "cousins", she really enjoyed that slip n slide! Glad you could come!
whoops--I should read the comments before I post. I'M, so sorry---Not I's!
She sure was cute to watch at the reunion. She seems like she is trying to be very independent! By the way, Jordan, I'm impressed with the way the slip and slide picture turned out!
What a great mom you are to take her down the slip n slide. She is a doll!
I had to sacrifice my pride and sore hip to get that picture to turn out. Next time I won't try to run across the slip and slide. I should have known that I would slip and fall. But the picture did turn out.
